Shape and Size
You want to look alluring and attractive as you walk on the beach or lie by the poolside. So, how do you make the heads turn? Of course, you can do it by wearing the right kind of swimwear. This need not mean that the swimwear should necessarily be a revealing one. You must have a body to flaunt in the revealing types of swimwear. You must wear a swimming costume that is comfortable and something which you can carry off well. The swimwear should complement your size and shape. If you wear something that does not match your personality and shape, then it looks totally misfit and even you will not feel comfortable.
Choosing the Right Swimwear
Swimwear is available in a range of styles, designs, shapes and sizes. You can choose one piece or two piece, as per your choice and preference. The color should complement your skin. You can mix and match as well. Are you worried about your size? There is nothing to worry about, and you can get a perfect fitting swimwear by shopping around. You may be worried about your large sized bust or big sized bottom and may be requiring extra support for your bust. Do not worry, extra large sizes are easily available and you can wear wrap around or sarongs for hiding your extra bulges. You can get all that you would want in your swimwear- special sizes, mix and match pairs and perfect cover-ups.
Latest Trends of Swimwear
Yes, it is quite difficult to see yourself in the mirror while you try on a new swimsuit, but things are improving by the day, with the improvements and modifications in swimwear sizes and varieties. The latest trends in swimwear are prints with graphic appeals like plaids, stripes and bold florals. As regards the colors, black never goes out of fashion, but you can also try out the shades of white, cool blue and tropical color of fuchsia. Swimwear with detailing like belts, laces, embroidery, smocking and ruffles look quite attractive.
Swimwear Styles
Bikini Style is the in thing and it rules the roost as far as fashionable swimwear is concerned. The latest bikini is a super skimpy with just triangles tied at the sides for the bottom. If you wish to flaunt extra curves, then go in for sculpted cups, underwire and built in push up bras. Tankini is the sporty variation of bikini with a slightly longer top that will cover some of your tummy. Bandini is a bikini with bandeau top. Camikini is similar to tankini, the only difference is that the top resembles a camisole. Maillot is one piece suit and latest styles include halternecked or one shouldered or off shoulder. A boy leg is a favorite silhouette with short kind of shorts.
Swimwear Accessories
You can accessorize your swimwear with sarongs, board shorts, flipflop sandals, sunglasses and hats. You can use sarongs as perfect cover ups. The sarongs look very flattering and you can get them in a variety of fabrics and lovely prints. You can tie the sarong in the front or on your side or around the chest. Board shorts offer great cover up for the bottoms and they look very sporty and cute. The flipflop sandals have become kind of daily wear.

I’ve had a few sarongs but I find that they are not very absorbent… Usually they are made of thin cotton or polyester.
Recently before I went on my trip to Africa I bought a type of sarong / beach towel dress called a Towelini.
I like it because it’s made of terry cloth, but it can be tied into a dress, like a sarong or used as a beach towel. I would recommend it as a hybrid sarong or travel towel. The website is http://www.towelini.com
