Eyes are a gift we were born with but most of us aren’t happy with our eyes. We wish for a different shape. Is it possible? It can be with the help of eyeliners. Sounds amazing but true. How do you wish your eyes to be? You decide.
Eye lining makes eyes more visible and adds drama. You can line your eyes with pencils or by brushing on a moistened eye shadow. For those fabulous fish eyes you need to first kohl your eyes all around and smudge them. Use a dark matte shade of powder eye shadow on the upper lid. To line the eyes first make a dot at the outer corner of each eye just above and a little to the side of the outer most lash. Starting at the inner corner, line the eyes as close as possible to the base of the eyelashes, till you reach the dot. Lighten the shade as you go up. Merge with the eyebrow. The question is which shades you should use. Dark brown and grey. Avoid blue and green. Now use an eye liner on the upper lashes. The lower eyelash needs a lighter shade. A fine stroke with a steady hand is what you need. If you feel it is not intense enough then another stroke should do the trick. Do not extend the line beyond the shape of the eye. Always be careful to keep the same thickness of line on both the eyes. Now move on to the mascara. Try matching your favourite colour liner with mascara in the same colour and do not forget the eyelash curlers to give you that picture perfect look.

Eye shadow
If you are using powder eye shadow, see that you shake off any excess. Any powder that falls on your cheek would tend to stick to the foundation.
Bright shades not only distract but look like you are over made up.
It is a bad idea to match your eye shadow with the shade of your eyes.
Try to merge the shadow towards the end with the surrounding skin.
Eye liner
Eyeliners that are greasy tend to smudge.
Stick to the natural shades of colour like brown and grey even if your eyes may be blue or green.
Liquid eyeliners are best avoided because not only do they shine but they do not blend with the eye shadow.
Try not to use the eyeliner inside the eye. Lining the inside of the eyes could lead to irritation or even infections.
Don’t let the eyeliner be the highlight of your eyes. It seems artificial on the face.
Use eyeliner judiciously. If your eyes are small, lathering on the eyeliner will not make them look any bigger. The trick to make eyes big is in the correct use of eye shadow.
Mascara
Always comb it through to prevent clumping of lashes when it dries out. Blink your eyes on a piece of tissue paper to wipe off ant excess.
