No woman is ever totally happy with her body. Even a supermodel, however perfect she might be, is insecure about herself. It is just inbuilt in us women. We are never really happy with ourselves. It could be flabby arms, a little tummy, heavy thighs, or hips that we just are not happy with. There are few tricks that everyone should master to always feel their best. These things create the illusion of exactly what we want others to see. Watch those pesky problems vanish into thin air and be happy!

A Heavy Bottom

Women with pear shaped bodies usually suffer from this problem. You have a pear shaped body if you have narrow shoulders compared to your hips. Flatter yourself by flattering all those parts of you that you love. If you have a toned upper half, a slender waist, or fabulous shoulders and arms, draw attention towards them. Avoid wearing pants or jeans that are very tight. A line skirts are perfect for those with wide hips. They skim over the hips drawing attention away from all those irritating areas. Mini skirts should be tried and avoided. They will make heavy thighs and wide hips a lot more obvious than they actually are. High waist jeans or pants do not normally flatter those with heavy bottoms. So stay away from 70s pant styles. The waist of the pants should be little lower than normal. Straight pants or those with a slightly tapered leg distract from the width of the bottom. Say away from pants with zippers and heavy pockets around the hips. Shorts should not be worn frequently. A really loose pair is fine for a workout.

Wear a top with a slim fit to balance out the hips. If your shirt is loose, it’ll make you look large. But if you wear something that is really tight, it’ll just make you look wonky. The shirt has to go with the flow. Button down shirts are a good option. Open collars, turtle necks pull eyes up. Jackets should be either very short or very long. They should not hit at the hips. Leave them open and it will crate an overall slimming effect.

Dresses should flare out at the bottom but should nip in at the waist. Think 50s. Those dresses that girls would wear then were really attractive and still are. For formal wear, ball gowns are great. They always hide the hips and the thighs because of their width. Strapless dresses play up structured shoulders. Anything without sleeves will show off toned arms. An empire dress is a great option since it too hides the hips. The raised waist hides problem areas. But wear this with caution. Most pregnant women wear these dresses and so are usually associated with maternity wear. You need to be careful before buying an empire waist dress or else it could actually make you look pregnant.

Wear clothes with vertical stripes in them for an elongating effect. Do not wear anything with horizontal lines because it will make you look wider than you are.
