This concept wasn’t created by Cocosa or Bauer. They’ve just rewrapped what we’ve been doing since July 2007 at http://www.secretsales.com.
Secretsales.com was the UK’s first online private club selling brands like True Religion, Breil, Aquascutum, Furla and more at up to 80% off. Each week new brands are put on sale for a limited time frame and our members can request reminders for upcoming sales.
Bauer (the people who own Cocosa) are just jumping on the bandwagon. Let’s see, but I predict their website will be much like ours… xoxo

I’m hoping Cocosa will be better that the current UK sites doing similar things.

Gilt Groupe is doing it pretty well in the US but I’m sorry, Secret Sales is mostly full of hideous pieces that clearly couldn’t be sold retail. The Aquascutum sale for example? So disappointing.

    Don’t let me down Cocosa!

  3. Julia - www.secretsales.com Says:

Sounds like Fay works for Cocosa… The Aquascutum products are the same as sold on Gilt Groupe, so perhaps you should do your homework before making an uneducated post like that.
And does that change the fact that what Cocosa called unique yesterday is now an existing concept? Bold statements from a company that should know better…

  4. Fay Says:

Haha, I don’t actually. I can’t even buy from their because I’m not American :(

Sounds like you work for secretsales…oh wait. You do! And I was looking at Gilt Groupe’s Aquascutum sale today and you don’t have the same products at all!

I’m sorry but I was terribly disappointed with the quality of products on your site. Maybe you should try improving them.

Fay (Headstream PR is it?), Cocosa is British isn’t it? Not American.

Our customers are quite happy with our product choice - I guess that’s why they keep returning.
Interesting to note Cocosa’s buyers are approaching the brands we work with and for the same stock. First big claims of a unique concept, then big claims to better brands, now big claims to better stock. tut..tut..all from a company that should know better. Maybe they should revise their PR brief to you?

P.S. In the context you’ve given there is not spelt their.

    xoxo

Yeah I was getting Gilt and Cocosa confused.

And LOL, I don’t work for any of those companies, you need to give that line up.

You should know that you are the only one with a bias. I’m just a consumer (and a potential customer of Secret Sales - I do have an account) and while there is plenty I would purchase from Gilt I haven’t seen anything I’d like from SS.

If you had the same products as Gilt then we wouldn’t even be having this conversation because I’d be a happy customer of SS - but the fact is that you don’t!

Like I said in my original comment, I have no idea if Cocosa will be any good, but I’m hoping so!
